Alternative Care is looking for individuals who are interested in the role of support coordination. Candidates must be genuinely interested in the succession planning and sustainability of business. Candidates must also be easy to work with, maintain accountability and effectively manage the risk of the support coordination role.
More importantly, candidates must have the capacity to not take complex behaviour personally. Alternative Care regularly enters into service agreements with participants who find themselves in crisis. The candidate must be able to support the participant to navigate complex situations.
The role of the support coordinator:
· This is not a desk job.
· May need to attend health appointments to support the participant to manage complex health concerns.
· May need to support participants to find emergent accommodation.
· May need to make ongoing home visits to support participants with psychosocial disability.
· May need to support participants in points of crisis.
You will need:
· A qualification suitable for Specialist Support Coordination - Level 3 certification.
· Own car.
Position:
· Casual position.
· You work your own hours as long as participants needs are met.
Alternative Care will pay 50% of your phone and internet. You will also be provided a laptop for Alternative Care use only.
Terms of employment are negotiable for the right person!
It is more important you meet participants needs than sit around being politically correct!
